FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a benzotriazole derivative having structural formula (I), in which the group R' is selected from C10-25 linear or branched alkyl, C10-25 linear or branched alkenyl, C10-25 linear or branched heteroalkyl and polyisobutenyl, having number-average molecular weight Mn 500–1500; n is selected from integer 0–5; n groups R0 are identical or different from each other, and each is independently selected from C2-5 linear or branched alkylene; n+2 groups A are identical or different from each other, and each is independently selected from hydrogen, a group represented by formula (I-1), and a group represented by formula (I-2), with the proviso that at least one of said n+2 groups A is a group represented by formula (I-1), and at least one of said n+2 groups A is group, represented by formula (I-2); of general formula (I-1) and general formula (I-2), groups R5 and R6 are identical or different from each other, and each is independently selected from C1-15 linear or branched alkyl; both groups X are sulfur atoms, both groups Y are oxygen atoms; two groups R'' are identical or different from each other, and each is independently selected from hydrogen and C1-6 linear or branched alkyl; groups R1, R2, R3 and R4 are identical or different from each other, and each is independently selected from hydrogen and C1-10 linear or branched alkyl; linear or branched heteroalkyl refers to a group, obtained by inserting into the structure of a carbon chain of linear or branched alkyl of one hetero group selected from -NR- (where group R is selected from H and C1-4 of linear or branched alkyl). Invention also relates to a method of producing a benzotriazole derivative, use of the benzotriazole derivative and a lubricating oil composition.

EFFECT: obtaining novel benzotriazole derivatives of structural formula (I), which can be used as an anti-wear additive for lubricating oil and have good antiscuff and anti-wear properties, and also have one or more excellent properties of thermo-oxidative stability, corrosion resistance, resistance to rust and antifriction characteristics.
