FIELD: lubricants.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer mixture suitable for use in a depressant additive for lubricating oils, to production and use thereof. Polymeric mixture acceptable for use in depressant additive for lubricating oils consists of n components of polymer or contains them, wherein each of said n polymer components independently represents additive polymers from monomer of formula (I) and/or mixture thereof, or n polymer components, each independently consist of substantially one or more structural units represented by formula (I-1), or contain them. Symbol n is an integer in the closed interval [5, 50]. In formula (I) or formula (I-1) definition of each group and numerical value is given in description. When average number of carbon atoms in side chain of polymer i-component, as determined according to nuclear magnetic resonance method, is expressed as Xi, where symbol i is an arbitrary integer from 1 to n, there is ratio X1<X2<...<Xn−1<Xn. Also disclosed are versions of the method of producing the disclosed polymer mixture, a depressant based thereon, a lubricating oil composition using the disclosed mixture and a polymerisation control method.

EFFECT: technical result is disclosed polymer mixture demonstrates excellent effect of lowering of pour point for lubricating oils and wide adaptability for lubricant base oils, when used as a depressant additive.
