FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Wireless communication device performs a beam tracking procedure of one or more neighbouring cells to provide, for each neighbouring cell, a list of monitored beams for a neighbouring cell and receives a handover command from the radio access source node, which instructs the wireless communication device to perform handover from the source cell served by the radio access source node to the target cell served by the target radio access node. Target cell is one of said one or more neighbouring cells for which the beam tracking procedure is carried out. Wireless communication device selects a target cell beam from the list of monitored beams for the target cell based on the configuration of the random access resource and/or the threshold quality value and performs random access on the selected beam.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of service transfer from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless communication system.
