FIELD: sanitary parasitology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sanitary parasitology, human ecology and veterinary science, can be used for reliable assessment of parasitic load on certain environmental objects (soil, sand, waste water and their sediments, manure and manure drains) and is used in sanitary and epidemiological surveillance. Method for detecting helminth eggs in samples of different environmental objects involves mixing pre-washed analyzed sample with floatation solution and subsequent microscopy of entire volume of floatant, wherein floatation solution used is sodium nitrate with density of 1.34 and filtering entire volume of floatant through analytical track membranes with pore diameter of 2.5-3.0 mcm.
EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of detecting parasitic contamination by reducing loss of desired pathogens at study stages.
