POLYPROPYLENE STRUCTURE FOR LAPAROSCOPIC HERNIOPLASTY IN RECURRENT INGUINAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/04

Abstract RU 2738161 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical devices, and particularly to devices for laparoscopic hernioplasty, and can be used in treating recurrent inguinal hernias. Polypropylene structure for laparoscopic hernioplasty in recurrent inguinal hernias represents a three-dimensional herniosystem, consists of two separate parts. Parts of the structure are connected directly in the abdominal cavity in accordance with the anatomical features of the patient without the need for wide release of the hernia grafts in recurrence of a hernia from scar tissues. First part - the obturator of the hernia gates is formed from polypropylene tape with length of 10–12 cm and width of 2–3 cm, which is twisted in the form of shuttlecock, end of obturator is pierced by prolate ligature, which is fastened and cut off, ligature prevents unwinding obturator and gives it a cone shape, further, this portion is introduced into the abdominal cavity through 10–12 mm laparoscopic port and is inserted by a narrowed end into the hernia gates, to the edges of which the enlarged part of the obturator is fixed by means of a hernostepler, then into the abdominal cavity is introduced polypropylene mesh, which covers the medial and lateral inguinal cavities, the mesh is fixed to the installed first part with one or two herniostapler clips to the underlying tissues.

EFFECT: using the invention enables reducing the percentage of recurrences of plastics and minimizing the surgical complications.
