FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pulmonology, and can be used for prediction of unattainable control of bronchial asthma (BA) in patients with osmotic hyperresponsiveness of respiratory tract in warm season with high relative humidity of atmospheric air. In the warm season of the year with low relative humidity of atmospheric air of less than 70%, the patient undergoes a bronchial challenge test with ultrasonic inhalation of distilled water (IDW). Amount of forced exhalation is calculated in % of initial values 1 second before and at 1st minute after IDW test. Discriminant function (D) is then calculated. Obtained D value is compared to the limiting value equal to 17.86. If D is equal to or greater than the limiting value, the patient is not predicted to achieve control of the disease in the warm season of the year. If D is less than the limit value, BA control in the warm season is predicted.
EFFECT: invention allows predicting unattainable control of bronchial asthma in patients with mild persistent and moderate BA course with osmotic hyperresponsiveness of respiratory tract.
