SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgical production and is suitable for tooling injection molding machines. Piston unit of the injection molding machine contains interconnected piston and rod with a longitudinal channel and transverse windows open into it and bottom thereof, a disc placed without gaps between the ends of the piston and the rod and connected by a shank with a rod, a pipeline with a sealing element at the rear end, installed in the said channel with a side gap and fixed non-detachably with the front end in the hollow disc shank, while the front transverse windows are made in the front part of the disc, leaving in deaf cavity thereof, made in the form of continuation of the cavity of the shank, and in the side gap between it and the piston. Disc is made with side surfaces of different diameters, interconnected by a bevel, on which the beginnings of the front transverse inclined windows are located.

EFFECT: increases piston life.
