FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil refining industry. Invention relates to a method of producing an adsorbent for removing low-sulfur compounds from a liquid hydrocarbon feedstock and involves depositing a modifier on the surface of the carrier using a soaking method. Support used is silica gel having a specific surface area of 480-540 m2/g, a total pore volume of 0.75 cm3/g, with an average pore diameter of 60Å, which is pre-dried at 100°C for 24 hours. Impregnation is carried out with a solution of polymer zinc (II) pivalate in isopropyl alcohol, based on 1 wt% polymer zinc (II) pivalate from the weight of the carrier. Modifier solution is mixed with carrier, mixture is placed in ultrasonic bath and subjected to ultrasound treatment for 90 minutes, then modified adsorbent is left under traction for 24 hours to remove solvent and dried in vacuum drying cabinet at 100°C for 24 hours.
EFFECT: increased activity of adsorbent for removal of lower sulfur compounds from liquid hydrocarbon material.
