FIELD: oil refining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil refining industry, in particular to materials for adsorption desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbon fuels. An adsorbent is described for removing acidic sulphurous components from liquid hydrocarbon fuel, containing a mixture of pivalates of zinc (II), cobalt (II), nickel (II) in an amount of 0.1-15 wt.%, deposited on a carrier - silica gel, while the adsorbent has specific surface area 540-720 m2/g and total pore volume 0.75-0.92 cm3/g, and a method for producing an adsorbent.
EFFECT: increasing the adsorbent activity of the material, its wear resistance, dispersion.
