FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing efficiency of continuous combustion systems is non-stoichiometric and takes place in a continuous-action furnace, wherein the method comprises the following steps: amount of hydrogen is added with respect to the main fuel from 0.001 % to 0.1 % (v/v) of the total volume of gases introduced into the combustion process; wherein introduction of hydrogen is carried out continuously or intermittently at one or several inlet points in continuous combustion chamber, which are located: in air-carrying air; or there, where temperature profile in quasi-stationary state provides self-ignition of hydrogen; continuously measuring the content of volatile organic compounds and carbon monoxide in the gas mixture leaving the furnace; hydrogen introduction is controlled depending on measured content of volatile organic compounds and carbon monoxide.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of combustion and reduces its effect on environment.
