FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to power-plant engineering, namely to heat exchange equipment. In multilayer shell-and-tube capillary condenser containing housing with upper and lower covers forming steam-air and condensate collection chamber, equipped with steam inlet and condensate outlet branch pipes, air branch pipe, in which vertical multilayer perforated tubes forming condensation chambers are inserted into holes of upper and lower tube grids, annular space between which forms a steam chamber communicating with the cavity of the condensate collection chamber through perforation in the lower tube plate, wherein the condensation chambers are inserted into each other n vertical perforated pipes, with a gap between each other, equal to Δ, made from hydrophilic material or coated with layer, wherein inner surface of each pipe is equipped with vertical transport grooves, upper end of central pipe in each condensation chamber is interconnected with cavity of steam-air chamber, lower ends of all vertical perforated pipes and cavities of gaps are interconnected with cavity of condensate collection chamber, perforation in walls of vertical pipes and in lower tube plate is made in the form of conical capillaries located so that their large holes are facing towards steam chamber, small holes - into cavity of condensation chambers and condensate collection chamber.
EFFECT: invention can be used for condensation of waste steam without use of a coolant.
