FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: system for detection of leaks for detection of damages in a sealed container with food products. System for detecting leaks comprises equipment for testing air samples, made to determine composition of air sample, delivered to air samples testing equipment. System for leak detection is provided with at least one pressure element, made, when used, with the possibility of applying pressure to a sealed container with food products located in the air sampling area. Plurality of air sampling channels is located in the air sampling area, between the pressure elements, note here that pressure elements and plurality of air sampling channels are made on common leak detection head. When using by means of at least one sampling air channel, an air sample is taken from the air sampling area at least during or after application of pressure by at least one pressing element to a sealed container with food products in the air sampling area and transmitting said air sample through channel for transmitting air samples to equipment for testing air samples.

EFFECT: technical result is high sensitivity of the method of detecting leaks caused by damage to sealed containers with food products.
