FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for application of coating from liquid, containing catalyst component, on monolithic base with cellular structure, containing multitude of channels. Method includes the following stages at which: monolithic base with cellular structure is held in fact in vertical position; specified volume of liquid is introduced into base through open ends of channels on the lower base end; introduced liquid is retained inside base in hermetic way; base, containing retained liquid, is turned over and vacuum is applied to open ends of base channels on turned, lower base end to extend liquid along base channels. Invention also relates to catalytic monolithic base of filter with leaking through walls, on input channels of which preliminarily applied is superficial membranous layer, containing highly disperse fireproof solid-body particles, in which input channels contain porous oxide catalytic coating with in fact uniform in axial direction profile, said catalytic monolithic base of filter with leaking through walls can be manufactured by method by any of items 1-4.

EFFECT: obtaining catalytic filter, which has higher capability of NH3 accumulation, which is important for promotion of NOx conversion at low temperature.
