FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing a pressure sensitive water-based adhesive composition. Method comprises dispersing at least one unsaturated monomer and at least one surfactant in an aqueous medium to form an emulsified mixture. Method further includes feeding at least one initiator into an emulsified mixture, thereby polymerising at least one unsaturated monomer and forming an emulsion polymer. Method further includes addition of at least one polyol of conjugated acid ester, which is tung oil, into emulsion polymer after polymerisation of at least one unsaturated monomer. Additionally, a pressure-sensitive adhesive is provided, which contains a composition prepared according to the described method.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a pressure sensitive water-based adhesive composition with improved cohesion.
