SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid vehicles. In the method of controlling catalyst heating for a hybrid vehicle, controlling heating is carried out such that when the temperature of the catalyst falls below the threshold temperature for activating the catalyst, target engine rpm is controlled to the first rotation frequency required for heating, at which catalyst can be heated to a higher temperature than the threshold temperature. When the noiseless mode is selected, the catalyst heating is controlled when the temperature of the catalyst is lower than the threshold temperature of the noiseless mode which is equal to or less than the threshold temperature.
EFFECT: optimized heating.
