SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing cellulose ether, obtained by this method cellulose ether, where the method includes step (1) for obtaining alkalified cellulose by reacting cellulose with an alkalinization reagent, stage (2) for production of cellulose ether in suspension state by esterification of alkalized cellulose and stage (3) of adding surfactant to ether of cellulose in suspension state upon completion of esterification.
EFFECT: invention of a method of producing cellulose ether, having improved solubility in cold water and thus minimizing the formation of lumps when mixed with cold water.
