FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in that part is treated with additional cutter and main cutting cutter. Initially, from the surface of the processed part, before processing by the main cutting cutter a stripping operation, removing the allowance of material of the part in form of crushed chips by an additional cutter, made in the form of multiplayer cutter rotating around axis of rotation parallel to rotational axis of processed part. Operation of stripping is performed during movement of support from supporting center to lathe chuck. Then, on back stroke from the cartridge to supporting center accurate processing is performed with the main cutter made in the form of finishing cutter. Lathe (1) with rotating assembly comprises main cutting cutter (3) fixed before machined part (2) and mounted on support (4) behind workpiece housing (5) of the rotating assembly with a rotation drive, on the shaft of which additional milling cutter (6) is installed. Additional cutter (6) along length of machined part (2) is installed for cutting processed part (2) at the level of main cutting cutter (3) and is fixed on shaft of rotation drive made in form of electric motor installed in housing of rotating assembly.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of processing parts from viscous materials on a lathe by eliminating or minimizing the formation of "drain" chips from the rotating machined part.
