In the method of check of apparatuses for protection against arc-type breakdown and spark gaps by means of an electric arc source, an arc is generated, the current of which is determined by the value and load character of the unit of controlled loads, in case of an electric arc, a time meter is launched, at the same time on the sound protection device under the action of the arc its actuation is performed with the time meter disconnection and the arc burning termination, and the time meter records the time of the protection device operation.

EFFECT: technical result is verification of characteristics of apparatus for protection from arc-type breakdown and spark gaps, high reliability of electrical networks and electrical installations, as well as their fire safety.
