FIELD: electrical engineering; fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and fire safety, namely to methods of detection and protection in case of arc breakdown (sparking) in cable lines in electrical installations, rooms, structures, buildings and other objects. In the disclosed method for diagnosing and monitoring low-voltage cable lines for the presence of arcing (sparking), a device for diagnosing and monitoring the presence of an electric arc in low-voltage cable lines is used, which is a portable unit, which includes connected by wires electric arc detector and voltage and current indicator, placed in a housing made of dielectric material, having three connectors for connection of connecting wires, two of which, phase and zero, connect the electric arc detector to the supply line, and one phase – voltage and current indicator to the tested cable line. Said device is connected to consumers power supply system by means of outgoing cable lines to supply and tested lines, and the portable controlled load is connected to the tested line, the presence of voltage and current in the circuit is checked and in case of disconnection of the device by actuation of the electric arc detection means presence of an electric arc in the tested line is diagnosed, and in case of non-disconnection of the device – its absence.
EFFECT: diagnostics and control of cable lines of low voltage for presence of arcing breakdowns (sparking), increase of reliability of electric networks and electric installations, as well as their fire safety.
