SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel crystalline modification of 4-hydroxo-3-(3-oxo-1-phenylbutyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one with dimethylsulphoxide in molar ratio of 1:1, a method for production thereof and use as a rodenticide agents. Disclosed crystalline modification of solvate is characterized by the following values of parameters of the crystallographic cell: spatial group P a=9.409(1) b=9.833(1) c=10.989(1) α=104.514(1)°, β=98.568(1)°, γ=99.177(1)°, Z=2.

EFFECT: obtaining a new crystalline modification of warfarin with dimethyl sulphoxide with a molar ratio of 1:1, having higher biological effectiveness compared to a precursor (warfarin).
