SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the biotechnology. Method of producing antibiotic amikumacin A involves culturing a Bacillus pumilus VKM V-3464D producer strain in a fermenter in a nutrient medium containing glucose, bacto-tryptone, yeast extract, sodium chloride, YNB, ammonium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, sodium phosphate and distilled water in a predetermined ratio of components in a high aeration mode, and feeding continuous culture feed when optical density reaches 6.5 ± 0.5 optical units with glucose solution with concentration of 500 g/l and solution of ammonium hydroxide - 3.5 g/l for 15–19 hours. After fermentation the culture liquid is centrifuged, the supernatant is filtered and ethyl acetate is added in ratio 1:1 by volume. Extract is evaporated, dissolved in DMSO and subjected to two-step purification, successively, on sorbent Zorbax C8, and then on a Symmetry C18 sorbent in buffer containing 20 mM ammonium acetate, pH 5.0, 5 % acetonitrile with elution of amikumacin A with a gradient of acetonitrile and detection at wavelength of 315 nm.
EFFECT: invention increases output of antibiotic amikumacin A.
