Recombinant strain of yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, as producer of human epidermal growth factor is prepared by transformation with recombinant plasmid YEp4OAB directing synthesis of human epidermal growth factor and its export in culturing medium. The strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae is deposited in VKM at number VKM CR-349D. Strain is able to produce human epidermal growth factor in the amount 10 mg/l of producer culture at density 5 x 108 cells/ml. Recombinant human epidermal growth factor corresponds to the natural human epidermal growth factor by its biological and physical-chemical properties.
