METHOD OF PERFORMING AN INTRACORPOREAL SLIDING KNOT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/04

Abstract RU 2739859 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for performing a sliding laparoscopic intracorporeal knot. Method is implemented by means of endosurgical instruments: two laparoscopic needle holders or one needle holder and one grasper. Tissue is stitched with a needle with a thread from right to left, leaving on the right a "passive" end of a thread with length of 6-8 cm. Active end of the suture is moved to the base of the suture – needle prick out – by the left instrument. Two loops are made from the "active" end of the thread. "Passive" end of the thread is grasped with the right tool, a sliding knot is formed and the "passive" end of the thread is held vertically. "Active" end of the suture is pulled to the left with a left instrument. While holding the "passive" thread end with the right tool of the left instrument with the branches of the left instrument, the sliding knot is lowered to the tissue. "Passive" end of the suture is pulled upwards and, while holding the sliding unit on the tissue, the sliding knot is tightened to the required comparison of the wound edges. Threads of two to four loops fastening the sliding knot are made on alternating ends.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of errors when performing the intracorporeal sliding knot and reducing the time of its implementation due to the improved control over the degree of tightness of the loops of the sliding knot and, thus, improving safety when performing it.
