SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical protection of structures from corrosion and can be used in protection of metal structures without additional power supply. Method of cathodic protection of metal pipe from corrosion includes electric connection of protected pipe with anode in form of pipe and creation of protective potential, at that, on the surface of the protected pipe with interference fit a tubular element of piezoelectric material, connected to interference with anode, and to create a protective potential, adjusting the interference value on the tubular element from the piezoelectric material, selecting the value of the protective potential and providing a constant interference force.
EFFECT: wider range of technical means used in electrochemical protection against corrosion by implementing a new apparatus and high reliability of electrochemical protection.
