FIELD: electric energy sources.
SUBSTANCE: radio-isotope source of alternating current comprises an emitter of beta-emitting metal, which acts as a cathode, and a resonator system of magnetron type, which is an anode, placed in a vacuum chamber, located in magnetic conductance gap. Cathode is made in form of foil ring and concentrically installed between external and internal magnetron resonators, resonator cavities of which open towards each other, and in the gap between magnetic conductor poles and ends of resonators there are two electrostatic reflectors. Emitted β-particles move in electromagnetic field created by resonators, and give them their energy. Radial and tangential components of velocity of charged particles are used, and axial component β-particles is suppressed by two electrostatic reflectors, installed parallel to plane of resonance system on both sides of it, at that electromagnetic energy is transferred to load through communication loops located in one of chambers of external and internal resonators.
EFFECT: disclosed is a radioisotope source of alternating current.
