SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device, in particular to a contactor, for bringing into contact at least two fluid flows, and a method of providing contact between fluids. Contactor comprises structure (100.0) for guiding the first fluid medium, wherein structure (100.0) comprises a contact area which does not contain pores and/or capillaries, having average diameter of 200 mcm to 1 mm, and configured to direct the second fluid medium, wherein in contact zone (100.0) first fluid medium can contact with second fluid medium. In contact zone (100.0) there is at least one flow interrupter (120.0) intended for interruption of flow of second fluid medium and comprising at least two projections (120.0), note here that distance between two adjacent ledges (120.0) and ledges height (120.0) is in range from 1 to 10. At first end of contactor there is a distributor for distribution of first fluid in structure, and at the second end opposite the first end there is a collector for collecting the first fluid from the structure.
EFFECT: device is compact, provides efficiency of fluid media contact and reduces risk of flooding or risk of pulling one of fluids with intensive exchange of materials between fluids.
