FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present application relates to a system for desulphurisation of waste gas of sea vessels, intended to reduce the amount of sulfur oxides, present in the exhaust gas of one or more diesel engines of a marine vessel, suitable for operation in open and closed loop mode and containing the following components, when it is made with possibility of operation in closed loop mode. System comprises a wet cleaning system comprising at least one wet scrubber, made with possibility to clean waste gases produced by marine ship diesel engine, using cleaning liquid, as a result used cleaning liquid is formed, note here that said wet scrubber comprises one or several discharge pipes used to discharge used cleaning liquid from wet scrubber. System also comprises at least one preparatory reservoir configured to obtain a suspension of magnesium hydroxide by hydrolysis of magnesium oxide water, a preparatory reservoir, containing water adding device, magnesium oxide powder adding device and mixing device for water and magnesium oxide powder mixing. System further comprises a suspension-moving device for moving the obtained suspension of magnesium hydroxide from at least one preparatory reservoir in the direction of the used cleaning liquid, withdrawn from wet scrubber in one or more pipes removing cleaning liquid used, where the magnesium hydroxide suspension comes into contact with the used cleaning liquid for cleaning the used cleaning liquid and/or neutralizing its acidity. In addition, the present application relates to a method of reducing the amount of sulfur oxides present in exhaust gas of one or more diesel engines of a ship.
EFFECT: desulphurization of waste gas of sea vessels is proposed.
