SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of monitoring and diagnosing of automatic control systems and their components. In the disclosed method, in particular, the reaction of a known system is recorded in advance at an interval in control points, and integral estimates of the system output signals are determined, for this, at the moment of input signal supply to input of system with nominal characteristics simultaneously start integration of control system signals in each of control points with weights, by feeding the control system signals multiplying units to the first inputs, the exponential signal is fed to the second inputs of the multiplier units, determining deviation marks of integral estimates of output signals of the monitored system for control points from nominal values, determining normalized values of signs of deviations of integral estimates of signals of the monitored system, determining diagnostic features, determining a faulty unit by a minimum value of the diagnostic feature.

EFFECT: reduced computational costs associated with implementation of models with structural sensitivity of blocks of transfer functions.
