SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a hydrothermally stable catalytic composition for low-temperature gasification of carbon-containing material, involving: a) an amorphous aluminosilicate support with an average particle size in range of 80 to 150 mcm; wherein weight ratio of silicon oxide to aluminum oxide in said aluminosilicate carrier is in range from 0.1 to 1.5, and b) K2CO3 impregnated in said amorphous aluminosilicate support in amount of 5 to 60 wt % relative to total catalyst composition. Invention also relates to a method of preparing a hydrothermally stable catalyst composition.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a catalyst composition having improved wear resistance, hydrothermal stability, high volume of pores and surface area for gasification of carbon-containing material at low temperature.
