FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to orthodontic devices, and is intended for use in the treatment of patients with deep incisal overlap. The used superelastic bite module is made in the form of a one-piece construction of a superelastic alloy based on titanium nickelide, exhibiting superelastic behavior in the range of human oral cavity temperatures, and consists of a support platform with a relief profile that improves attachment to the tooth surface, a curved spring part that is capable of deforming and regain its shape after removal of the load, and grooves for contact with the incisors of the lower jaw.
EFFECT: use of the bite block allows to increase the efficiency of deep incisal overbite treatment by affecting both the abutment teeth and the antagonist teeth with not too much effort.
