FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining azimuthal efficiency of GSM radio communication of integrated into vehicles transceiver systems/devices for calling emergency operational services. In the area protected from external factors, the geometric center of the hypothetically installed vehicle is set. At a given point, a predetermined number of standard transceivers of the GSM standard are alternately placed, for each of which, a minimum level of GSM signal of interruption of radio communication between the simulator of the base station and the transceiver is measured. Limiting level of GSM signal of termination of radio communication between simulator of base station and reference transceivers is calculated. Then, with reference to this point, in the test area there is a vehicle equipped with system/devices for emergency operation services call. Minimum level of GSM signal of interruption of radio communication between simulator of base station and vehicle-arranged transceiver of system/devices of calling emergency operational services is measured in the whole range of azimuthal angles of vehicle location relative to receiving-transmitting antennas of simulator of base station. Number of angular positions of the vehicle is determined, at which the signal strength of the GSM radio communication terminated by the system/devices for calling emergency operational services is lower than the limit level of the GSM signal for stopping radio communication between the base station simulator and the reference transceivers. Calculating the azimuthal efficiency of the radio communication of the checked system/devices for calling emergency operating services of vehicles and comparing its calculated value with the value of the limiting value of GSM communication, given by normative documentation.
EFFECT: method of testing systems/devices for calling emergency operating services of vehicles enables to select the most optimal configuration and layout of components of systems/devices for calling emergency operational services as part of vehicles and, as a result, possibility of satisfactory range in the azimuthal plane of GSM communication vehicles.
