FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power engineering for measurement of ice and wind loads on overhead power transmission lines (OPTL). Device for measuring glaze and wind loads on OPTL comprises force-measuring sensor installed between string of insulators, suspended to traverse on support post, and phase conductor, first and second television transmission channels with measuring devices, unit for determining sine of deflection angle of garland of insulators from vertical position, a multiplier, calculating wind load, a unit for determining the distance of the phase wire to the grounded elements of the support structure, the ice load determination unit, first output "Icing and wind load N" of device, the second output "Icing load Pic" of the device, the third output "Wind load Pw" of the device, the fourth output "Approximation distance D" of the device. Into the force-measuring sensor there is a sensor for measuring the deflection of the string of insulators, connected by the second television program channel to the input of the unit for determining the sine of the angle of deflection of the insulator string from the vertical position, output of which is connected to second input of multiplier, which determines wind load, and input of determination unit of distance of phase wire approach to grounded elements of support structure, which output is connected to fourth output of device.
EFFECT: simultaneous real-time measurement of ice and wind loads and distance of the phase wire approach to grounded elements of the OPTL support structure, in conditions of poor visibility and in the absence of an observer on the OPTL controlled section.
