FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to therapy, cardiology and pulmonology. Disclosed is a method for prediction of development of life threatening complications in patients with myocardial infarction with background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on the basis of blood plasma level of homocysteine, in which for prediction of cardiogenic shock and pulmonary oedema as life-threatening complications in patients with myocardial infarction with background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, homocysteine level is determined, blood plasma by enzyme immunoassay in combination with the phenotype of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and further calculating the probability of developing cardiogenic shock and pulmonary oedema.
EFFECT: invention provides predicting a low or high risk of developing cardiogenic shock and pulmonary oedema.
