FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to apparatuses for producing powders by spraying melts, and can be used to produce powders of various metals. The apparatus for producing spherical metal powders comprises a melting chamber, a liquid metal sprayer, a spraying chamber, and a powder receiver. The melting chamber is made in the form of a cylindrical crucible with an induction heater. The liquid metal sprayer is made in the form of a pneumatic vortex ejection nozzle containing a movable bumper at the outlet of the primary aerosol. The spraying chamber constitutes a cylindrical column configured to change the height. An induction heater is installed around the column, configured to move relative to the position of the sprayer along the column. The powder receiver is made in the form of an impactor.
EFFECT: production of finely dispersed (0.5 to 100 mcm) spherical metal powders with a predetermined granulometric composition is ensured.
