FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely otorhinolaryngology. CO2 laser is used, λ - 10.6 mcm, with defocused beam mode with diameter of 0.5-1.0 mm, with focal distance of 250 mm. Contact-free pulses of power 5-7 W are used to coagulate mucosa of stirrup base. That is followed by fenestration of the base of stirrup.
EFFECT: method enables providing reliable haemostasis before perforation of the staple foot plate without dangerous instrumental manipulations in this area, reducing a risk of developing cochleovestibular disorders.
