FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in surgical management of patients with otosclerosis. Method involves removal of stapes superstructures and perforation of the staple plate with a diode laser with a radiation wavelength of 980 nm and a diameter of the quartz light guide of 0.6 mm. Laser exposure is performed in pulsed mode with number of pulses – before perilymph appears in perforated hole. Prior to the pulse action, the quartz light guide is prepared, at that, first, its end is chipped, and then at each single pulse it is activated at direct contact with wooden spatula, causing fire of wood in point of impact and deposition of coal particles on end of quartz light guide. Pulse action is performed in the following mode: power 30 W, pulse duration 20 ms, energy density of one laser pulse 212 J/cm2, and perforation of foot plate of stapes is smaller in diameter than diameter of fiber, namely 0.4 mm.
EFFECT: method enables reducing a risk of damage to internal ear structures and vestibular disorders in the postoperative period by reducing power and pulse duration during laser exposure.
