FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: stapedius muscle tendon is instrumentally cut off from its attachment to the stirrup prior to stapedotomy without reduction of its length. After transection, the tendon retracts. The anvil-stirrup joint is transected. The stirrup arch is removed. A hole is formed in the strirrup base. It is closed with an autovenous transplamt from the back surface of the patient's foot and a stirrup prosthesis is installed, which is fixed on the long stem of the anvil. Stapedius muscle tendon plastic is performed by a 0.5×4 mm rectangular autovenous transplant dimensions from the vein of the back surface of the foot, placing it from the pyramidal elevation to the long stem of the anvil.
EFFECT: increased functional efficiency of surgical treatment of patients with otosclerosis by stapedial reflex restoration.
