FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and concerns hydrocephalus treatment. For this purpose, for conducting the ventricular catheter from the incision on the head to the incision in the mesagastric region, performing preliminary hydroprepation of the soft tissues along the peritoneal catheter under the skin by multiple subcutaneous injections of 0.9% NaCl solution at distance of 3-5 cm from each other, in amount of 10.0 ml for each prick.
EFFECT: method provides reducing the risk of potential complications, particularly in patients with a subcutaneous fat, particularly substituting shun components or the entire system with the formation of decubital ulcers above a portion of the peritoneal catheter passing too superficially in the dermis.
