SUBSTANCE: neurosurgery, spinal surgery. During surgical treatments on the spine in patients with a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt, a dorsal approach to the posterior column of the patient's spine is performed. An incision is made along the midline and an incision in the dura mater. Perform surgery on the vertebrae. The dura mater of the spinal cord is closed. Then layered closure of the postoperative wound is performed. Apply a pressure bandage to the wound. In the postoperative period, through a pump with a volume of 1 ml, installed in the ventriculo-peritoneal shunt, hourly CSF discharge is carried out during the day.
EFFECT: prevention of the postoperative liquorrhea during surgical treatments on the spine in patients with ventriculo-peritoneal shunt in conditions of soft tissue deficiency in the area of surgical treatment.
