FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a detection system in a screening device for sieving material, for example an aggregate, ore or similar material. Proposed system comprises, at least, one sieving deck with sieving surface and sensor arranged on, at least, one sieving deck or nearby it. Sensor is configured so that it is capable of detecting objects leaving the sieving deck, the sensor has an ultrasonic sensor. System comprises a control unit connected to sensor and configured to distinguish sensor signals arising from sifted material, and sensor signals originating due to foreign object, such as displaced sieving module or lining element, by applying one or more predetermined threshold values, wherein threshold value is based on time, during which object is in range of sensor action.
EFFECT: high efficiency of detecting a foreign object.
