FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for electric welding by resistance of welding head (T) with electrodes arranged on one side. Main axes of grounding electrode (3) and welding electrode (4) are parallel to each other and are located at a distance from each other. Between earthen electrode (3) and supporting structure (1) resilient device (20) functionally connected to which device (21) of its load detection is connected. One or more electronic units (E) are intended for control of robot (R) retaining head (T), and control of welding head (T). Electronic control units (E) are configured to increase the load of resilient device (20) before stopping movement of robot at specified threshold value of load of elastic device (20) and movement of welding electrode (4) by specified length to establish preset position relative to support structure (1). Electronic control unit also controls current consumed by electric motor and supplies electric current to electrodes (3, 4) by means of electric transformer (2) for electric welding.
EFFECT: proposed is welding head for electric resistance welding with electrodes arranged on one side.
