FIELD: laser devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser step seam welding for joining two or more metal preforms superimposed on each other. System comprises laser source, support pillar, optical head for focusing laser beam in welding zone, axially positioned along support pillar, operating member mounted on support pillar to move with optical head to welding position and with possibility of pressing front metal blank in front of welding zone with predetermined force, laser radiation trap, positioned on rear side of metal billet in front of welding zone with sensor for recording light radiation, penetrating through welding zone, and controller configured to generate adjustment of pressing force between workpieces to be welded.
EFFECT: with this invention it is possible to improve quality of welded joint.
