FIELD: air filtering.
SUBSTANCE: filter element (100) comprises: filter material pack (110) comprising filter material, said pack of filter material is characterized by the presence of an optionally substantially flat first side and, optionally, a substantially flat second side, said first side and second side are not necessarily parallel to each other; and guide rim (120), having a sealing surface characterized by the presence of at least a radially oriented component, and located on at least one of said first side and said second side; wherein circumference of said or each guide rim comprises at least one convex portion and at least one concave portion; and the contour of said filter material pack (110) corresponds to said convex portion of said guide rim and at least a portion of said concave portion. Present invention also relates to an air filtration system and a method of producing a filter element for air.
EFFECT: improved sealing characteristics, reduced risk of incorrect installation of filter elements in filtration system.
