FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: systems and methods of applying texture on substrate (108) include applying texture on substrate (108) by means of rolling stand (102) of rolling mill. Working stand (102) comprises upper working roll (104A) and lower working roll (104B) located on one vertical line with upper working roll. At least one of upper working roll (104A) and lower working roller (104B) comprises a texture. Application of texture includes application of work roll pressure on upper surface (110) and lower surface (112) of substrate (108) by upper working roll (104A) and lower working roll (104B). Method further includes adjusting parameter of contact pressure of working stand (102) so that working stand provides required distribution of contact pressure within width of substrate (108) and required thickness profile of substrate edges, while the total thickness of the substrate remains substantially constant.

EFFECT: invention relates to control systems and methods of controlling texturing of metal substrate surface during rolling with low pressure.
