SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol device, a method for actuating an aerosol device and a computer-readable data medium. Disclosed is an aerosol device containing a power source, a storage unit that stores an aerosol source or an aerosol carrier material that holds an aerosol source, a load that generates heat after receiving electrical power from a power source, and sprays an aerosol source supplied from a storage unit or held in a material aerosol carrier using heat, whereby the value of the electrical resistance of the load changes depending on temperature, a circuit that electrically connects the power source and the load, and a control unit configured to determine whether the amount of the aerosol source that can be supplied from storage unit or held in the aerosol carrier material based on a first voltage value, which is a voltage value applied to the entire circuit, and a second voltage value, which is a voltage value applied to a portion in the circuit, wherein the voltage to be applied supply changes in accordance with changes in the load temperature, while the control unit is configured to determine that the amount of the aerosol source is insufficient when the second voltage value satisfies the first condition a plurality of times while the first voltage value is adjusted to have a constant value , or when the electrical load resistance value derived from the first voltage value and the second voltage value satisfies the second condition a plurality of times, the accuracy of determining the amount of the aerosol source is improved by eliminating the influence of such factors as noise contained in the output value of the sensor, the resolution of the sensor, and the degree of dryness of the aerosol in the retention assembly or carrier material.
