FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: stoma plate comprises a central peristomal area, a first lobe spaced from the second lobe, and a junction located between the first lobe and the second lobe. Central peristomal region surrounds the stoma opening. Central peristomal region is continuous and extends at a first radial distance from the perimeter of the stoma opening to form a continuous strip of material around the stoma opening. Central peristomal region is substantially round or oval and has an outer perimeter. Each of the first lobe and the second lug extends away from the outer perimeter of the continuous material strip. First petal has the length of the first petal, measured from the hole for stoma placement to the top of the first petal. Second petal has the length of the second lug measured from the hole for placement of stoma to the top of the second lobe. Transition is located between the first lobe and the second lobe. Transition passes from the external perimeter of the continuous strip of material and has a transition length measured from the hole for placing the stoma to the top of the transition. Junction comprises a convex vertex connected to the adjacent petal with a concave part. Length of the junction is less than the length of the first lobe and the length of the second lug. Material of transition is thicker than thickness of lobes.
EFFECT: invention provides minimizing the risk of under plate when used on an uneven or round skin surface, especially for use on users suffering from stoma, located on a non-flat and uneven skin surface.
