FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for pulsed laser skin treatment, and is intended for laser-induced optical destruction of hair or skin tissue. Device has an output light window to be placed opposite the surface to be treated, such as leather, during use. Feedback system is used to determine the state of contact between the output window of light and the said surface. For this purpose, the feedback system is configured to detect a feedback signal which reflects the state of the contact. If the feedback signal or the contact state is such that the risk of damage to the surface of the skin or device when the device is operating is too high, the user or device has a means for interrupting processing or for reducing the light output in order to reduce or eliminate this risk.
EFFECT: disclosed is a light-based skin treatment device.
