FIELD: methods and devices for detection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for producing steam samples for detectors, such as spectrometric detectors, for example ion mobility spectrometers and mass spectrometers. Inlet unit of detector, intended for sample supply to analytical device for aerosol detection, comprises an intake device for retraction of a stream of gaseous fluid medium to be withdrawn by an analytical device, a mixing region, first channel for transferring the first portion of the gaseous fluid flow from the intake into the mixing region, a second channel for transferring a second portion of the gaseous fluid flow from the intake to the mixing region and a heater configured to heat the first portion greater than the second portion, wherein the inlet unit of the detector is configured to combine the first part with the second part in the mixing region.
EFFECT: technical result is increased sensitivity of aerosol detection.
