FIELD: layered products and materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of multilayer articles, such as coins, medals and tokens. Continuous strip of rectangular section made from precious and non-ferrous metals and their alloys is made, it is cleaned of deposit and oxides and rolled with simultaneous annealing in atmosphere produced at dissociation of ammonia. Then one performs gurulation, cleaning from oil fractions with a detergent solution using ultrasound and washing with water. Repeatedly annealed and tumbled using tumbling bodies of spherical and/or polyhedral shape in rattling drums in detergent for 3–7 hours. Area for bonding insert (8) from milled natural and/or semi-precious stone is formed by stamping. Insert (8) is made with thickness of 0.3 mm more than maximum value of relief supposed for engraving.
EFFECT: reliable connection of metal and stone parts of article without destruction of brittle stone insert.
