FIELD: transport machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles. Electric multisystem on board of rail vehicle comprises first connecting means, transformer, linear converter, second connecting means and control unit. First connecting means connects first point of connection of electrical system with contact wire of alternating current or second point of connection of electric system with contact DC wire. Primary winding of the transformer is connected to the first connection point. Linear converter is connected to the secondary winding of the transformer and has an output connected to an intermediate link of direct current. Secondary winding of transformer is divided into two halves, connected in series, wherein the second connecting means connects the second connection point to the middle point of the secondary winding of the transformer between the two halves. Control unit controls the linear converter together with the inductor of each half of the secondary winding so that it acts as a DC breaker for DC voltage level adjustment. Also disclosed are method of controlling electrical multisystem and rail vehicle.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of current harmonics.
